Justice at the Court of Appeal of Lisbon. Degree in Law, from Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Master in "New Frontiers of Law" (Higher Institute of Labor and Enterprise Sciences) and PhD student in the PhD program "Law, Justice and Citizenship in the 21st Century", in Coimbra University. Scientific Advisor of the Project to Support the Consolidation of the Rule of Law in PALOP and Timor-Leste (PACED), under the 10th European Union Financing Program, with delegated management of Camões, Portuguese Cooperation Institute. Honorary President of the International Union of Portuguese Speaking Judges (UIJLP). He has initial, permanent and complementary training activities in several postgraduate courses and even in national and international conferences, especially on matters related to the judicial system and judicial organization. Lecturer in various training seminars, conferences and congresses. From April 2005 to July 2009, he was director of the legal magazine "Sub Judice - Justice and Society". Coordinated the project and the implementation of the portal "Citizens' Rights and Duties - Questions and Answers for Responsible Citizenship". He is a consultant on other research projects and has been involved in legislative and judicial policy working groups. His studies, articles and decisions have been published in books, magazines and journals of a judicial nature.
